Microsoft Returning to FlightSimExpo 2026
Microsoft is officially heading back to FlightSimExpo 2026, giving attendees another chance to see the Microsoft Flight Simulator team in person at one of the biggest community events on the flight sim calendar. According to a report from FSElite published on April 16, 2026, Microsoft confirmed during its recent developer livestream Q&A that it will attend this year’s show in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
FlightSimExpo 2026 is scheduled for June 12 through June 14, 2026 at the Saint Paul RiverCentre. The event’s official website says the convention will feature exhibits, product reveals, how-to seminars, demos, and workshops, with optional activities also planned around the main event dates.
For Microsoft Flight Simulator fans, Microsoft’s return matters because the company has used past FlightSimExpo appearances to connect directly with the community and showcase new features, platforms, and simulator developments. FSElite notes that Microsoft previously attended events in Houston and Las Vegas, and suggests this year’s appearance could include hands-on opportunities with the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator builds. That expectation is an inference based on past expo participation, not an official product announcement yet.
This year’s expo is already shaping up to be a busy one. FlightSimExpo organizers have promoted the 2026 event as a gathering point for simmers, aviation professionals, and pilots, while earlier event updates said the show would include a Friday Exhibit Hall Preview and broad exhibitor participation.
For the flight sim community, Microsoft’s attendance adds a little extra jet fuel to the weekend. Whether the team arrives with new announcements, fresh demonstrations, or simply a strong presence on the show floor, it is another sign that FlightSimExpo remains a major stop on the annual sim circuit. As June gets closer, expect even more attention on what Microsoft, third-party developers, and hardware makers bring to Saint Paul.
