BlueBird Shares 757 Launch Update as Team Supports Developer

BlueBird Simulations has confirmed that its Boeing 757 missed the planned October 23 release window after a team member responsible for deployment infrastructure and backend services required urgent medical care.

BlueBird Shares 757 Launch Update as Team Supports Developer

The team says work toward launch continues, while making clear that its colleague’s health comes first. In a follow-up announcement, BlueBird said developers were working toward release within several hours. That remains an estimate rather than a confirmed availability announcement.

People Come First

For pilots looking forward to their first flight, another wait is understandably disappointing. But behind every aircraft, installer and download portal are people—and an unexpected health issue deserves patience and understanding.

BlueBird explained that the affected developer holds a central role in the systems needed to deliver the product to customers. Other team members have been stepping in where possible.

Here at Sky Blue Radio, we value our relationship with BlueBird and send our best wishes to their colleague and the entire team. The flight plan can wait; looking after one another matters more.

What Pilots Can Expect

The initial 757 Passenger package includes the 757-200 with both Pratt & Whitney and Rolls-Royce engine options.

Just Flight’s product listing confirms that a native MSFS 2024 version and the longer 757-300 are planned as free updates for existing owners. The -300 will be available for MSFS 2024 only.

Those future additions are separate from the initial release, an important distinction for pilots planning their purchase.

Awaiting the Release Announcement

At the time of writing, we have not verified that public sales and downloads are live. Readers should watch BlueBird’s official channels for confirmation before treating an estimated timeframe as a firm launch commitment.

We’re looking forward to seeing this much-anticipated aircraft reach the community. For now, our support is with the people working to make that happen.
