GSX 3.9.1 Adds Towing Capability and Expands Ground Operations
Ground handling in Microsoft Flight Simulator just got a little more interesting.
FSDreamTeam has released GSX version 3.9.1, and one of the biggest additions in this update is towing capability. With the new features, simmers can now use push-in towing to move an aircraft from the taxiway to the gate using a towbarless tug, along with gate-to-gate towing for repositioning aircraft between parking stands.
For virtual pilots who enjoy the full airport experience, this adds another layer of realism to preflight and post-arrival operations. Instead of simply parking and calling it a day, users now have more options for handling aircraft movement on the ground, especially at busy airports where flexibility matters.
The update does not stop there. GSX 3.9.1 also brings back navigation within GSX menus, introduces adjustable pushback speed, and adds seated passenger support for the PMDG 737-700 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Altogether, it is a solid quality-of-life update that improves both immersion and day-to-day usability.
For many simmers, GSX has long been one of those must-have tools that helps bring airports to life. This latest release keeps that momentum going by making ground operations feel more dynamic and a bit more true to what happens on the ramp in the real world.
If you are the kind of simmer who loves the little details, this update is worth a look.
