A 24-Hour Flight Across America
The Route 66 Sky Relay will begin at 16:00 UTC on September 26 and continue through 16:00 UTC on September 27, 2026. For viewers in the Mountain time zone, the event runs from 10 a.m. Saturday through 10 a.m. Sunday.
During the relay, participating creators will take turns flying segments of a virtual route connecting Chicago and Los Angeles. Each streamer will bring a different community, presentation style and approach to flying as the relay works its way west.
Viewers can follow individual creators through their respective streaming channels or watch the uninterrupted event feed on the SayIntentions.AI YouTube channel.
SayIntentions.AI is providing the continuous broadcast network that will bring the individual streams together, allowing viewers to follow the relay through each handoff while discovering creators they may not have watched before.

Supporting the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital
Funds raised during the event will support Orbis, an international nonprofit organization working to prevent avoidable blindness and improve access to quality eye care.
One of the organization’s most recognizable programs is the Orbis Flying Eye Hospital, the world’s only fully accredited ophthalmic teaching hospital built aboard an MD-10 aircraft.
The aircraft contains an operating room, classroom, recovery areas and medical-simulation facilities. Orbis uses the hospital to bring specialist training directly to eye-care professionals around the world, helping local medical teams develop skills that can continue benefiting patients after the aircraft departs.
The current MD-10 is the third generation of the Flying Eye Hospital. Orbis has operated flying teaching hospitals since 1982, using the combination of aviation, medicine and education to reach communities where access to specialist eye care may be limited.
It is difficult to imagine a more appropriate cause for a flight-simulation event: aviation enthusiasts using virtual aircraft to support a real aircraft that changes lives.
How Contributions Will Be Handled
Contributions made through the Route 66 Sky Relay donation page will be collected by SayIntentions.AI and transferred to Orbis.
SayIntentions.AI says it will cover administrative and payment-processing fees so the full value of each contribution reaches the charity.
The event is an independent community fundraiser. Orbis is the beneficiary but is not listed as an event partner, sponsor or organizer.
Viewers who cannot watch the complete 24-hour broadcast can still support the effort by donating, sharing the event or joining individual portions of the relay.
