Built Natively for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
The P2012 Traveller V2 is a standalone aircraft developed specifically for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PC. FlightSim Studio says it uses the simulator’s newer materials, aerodynamics and visual features rather than serving as a straightforward compatibility conversion of the earlier MSFS 2020 product.
The exterior model has been reworked with additional detail, a new lighting system and weight-based tire deformation. Pilots can also complete an interactive walkaround and remove displayed ground equipment directly from the aircraft.
Textures, lighting, systems and sounds have all received attention for the new edition. The sound package was created using recordings from the real aircraft, with engine noise changing according to propeller, power and turbocharger conditions.
Aircraft states persist between sessions, allowing pilots to return to many of the switches, systems and cockpit settings they left behind after the previous flight.
Seven Aircraft in One Package—Almost
Versatility is the central theme of the P2012 Traveller V2.
FlightSim Studio includes seven selectable cabin configurations:
- Airliner
- VIP
- Combi
- Cargo
- Medevac
- Skydive
- Special Mission Platform
The new VIP cabin was created using original manufacturer 3D data, while the passenger and cargo configurations include their own loading systems. Pilots can switch between the available layouts through the aircraft’s electronic flight bag.
That selection gives virtual operators plenty of choices beyond the usual passenger run. One flight can carry travelers between regional airports, while the next can become a medical evacuation, freight mission or skydiving operation. It is essentially the aviation equivalent of a Swiss Army knife—although attempting to open bottles with the propellers remains strongly discouraged.
Updated Avionics and Aircraft Systems
The cockpit includes a customized version of the Working Title G1000 NXi, supplemented by FlightSim Studio’s own engine information, Crew Alerting System functions and keypad integration.
A GMC 710 autopilot is included alongside a custom FADEC simulation for the aircraft’s Lycoming TEO-540-C1A engines. FlightSim Studio has revised the power-management logic and significantly improved the TKS ice-protection system for the V2 release.
The aircraft’s native MSFS 2024 EFB application provides access to panel states, aircraft options, weight-and-balance settings and Navigraph Charts. It also offers a moving map, flight-plan information, cabin selection, ground-power controls and engine preheating.
The combination should make the P2012 useful for pilots who want a manageable regional aircraft without giving up meaningful systems and operational variety.
Ready for Career Mode
Career Mode compatibility is one of the most important additions to the new version.
The real P2012 was designed to perform several jobs that translate naturally into Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 missions. Its virtual cabin options cover passenger transport, cargo, medical, parachuting and special-purpose operations, making it more flexible than an aircraft tied to only one career path.
The real-world Tecnam P2012 is an 11-seat, high-wing utility twin that can accommodate up to nine passengers. Tecnam lists two available engine options, a useful load of 3,117 pounds and a maximum range of approximately 950 nautical miles. Its interchangeable configurations allow operators to move between airline, cargo, combi, air-ambulance and other missions.
That real-world flexibility gives sim pilots an unusually broad selection of believable routes. Short regional services, remote cargo runs and island-hopping operations should all feel at home in the aircraft.
Pricing and Upgrade Information
The Tecnam P2012 Traveller V2 is available for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PC through Aerosoft and participating third-party stores. Aerosoft lists the aircraft at approximately €30, with regional pricing and taxes varying by location.
Owners of the previous MSFS 2020 edition can purchase the new version for an upgrade price of €9.95 through Aerosoft. FlightSim Studio emphasizes that V2 is a separate product and is not compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. The earlier edition remains available separately for MSFS 2020 on PC and Xbox.
With seven cabins, Career Mode support and a generous collection of updated systems, the P2012 Traveller V2 gives MSFS 2024 pilots a workhorse that can do considerably more than haul passengers from one polished terminal to another.
