Flight Panels Brings A380 Controls to the Stream Deck

Flight Panels has released three new Stream Deck profiles for the iniBuilds A380 in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, giving pilots access to aircraft systems, autopilot controls and custom camera views through compatible desktop hardware.

Flight Panels Brings A380 Controls to the Stream Deck

The Belfast-based developer’s release includes an Aircraft Profile with more than 850 programmed buttons, a dedicated Stream Deck + Autopilot Profile and an AeroLens Pro Enhanced camera package.

The world’s largest passenger aircraft has plenty of switches. Your mouse may finally get a well-earned break.

More Than 850 Buttons Across 33 Pages

The A380 Aircraft Profile contains more than 850 custom-designed, pre-programmed buttons arranged across 33 pages. Coverage includes overhead systems, communications, lighting, autopilot and electronic flight instrument controls.

According to Flight Panels, the button artwork reflects the aircraft’s cockpit controls rather than relying on generic symbols or text labels.

The package provides both 15-key and 32-key layouts. The 15-key version supports the Stream Deck MK.2, while the 32-key layout supports the Stream Deck XL. Both layouts also support Stream Deck Mobile on iOS and Android, along with the Corsair Xeneon Edge.

The Aircraft Profile is priced at £25.

For pilots managing an aircraft with a large flight deck, the appeal is straightforward: grouping frequently used controls on a separate device can reduce the amount of time spent moving the cockpit camera and searching for a particular switch.

Stream Deck + Adds Rotary Autopilot Control

The separate A380 Autopilot Profile is designed exclusively for the Stream Deck +, using its physical buttons, rotary dials and LCD touchscreen.

Its coverage extends beyond the autopilot to communications, navigation, EFIS, the transponder and internal lighting.

Flight Panels says speed, heading, vertical speed, altitude and radio-frequency values update in real time as users turn the dials, providing visible confirmation of their selections.

The profile also includes live altitude and airspeed graphs. Users can adjust the graphs’ displayed time period with the device’s rotary controls.

Priced at £15, this profile targets pilots who want more of their routine flight-deck interactions within reach of physical controls.

There is something satisfying about turning an actual dial when ATC assigns a new heading—even if the captain’s chair is still an office chair.

AeroLens Adds 24 Custom Camera Views

The third release, AeroLens Pro Enhanced for the A380, focuses on camera management.

It adds 24 custom views, including perspectives around the tail, nose wheel, wings and engines, as well as the upper and lower passenger decks.

The package is designed for the Stream Deck XL, Stream Deck Mobile and Corsair Xeneon Edge, and is priced at £20.

For streamers and video creators, quick access to saved views can make it easier to move between cockpit operations and exterior shots. For other pilots, it provides a convenient way to explore the aircraft without repeatedly setting up camera positions.

The camera package is a separate product, so pilots can choose whether their priority is aircraft control, autopilot interaction or presentation.

Flexible Hardware for a Growing Virtual Hangar

The release expands Flight Panels’ existing range of iniBuilds profiles, which already includes the A300 and A350.

The company says its wider catalog contains more than 80 profiles across Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane, covering aircraft from developers including PMDG, Fenix Simulations, Aerosoft and FSReborn.

A configurable device offers an advantage for pilots who regularly change aircraft: the same hardware can display a different set of controls when another compatible profile is loaded.

Readers building their next airline session can also explore Sky Blue Radio’s coverage of FlightSim Studio’s E-Jets release and OnTime Turnaround’s approach to airline schedules.

Available Now from Flight Panels

The three A380 profiles are available now. The prices announced in the supplied press release are £25 for the Aircraft Profile, £15 for the Autopilot Profile and £20 for AeroLens Pro Enhanced.

These are control and camera profiles for the iniBuilds A380 in MSFS 2024; buyers should select the edition that matches their Stream Deck device.

More information is available through Flight Panels’ official release announcement and online store.

The aircraft remains enormous. Finding the next control could become a little easier.
