Developed by Nick Cyganski, the latest aircraft to emerge from the Black Square hangar brings the stylish, comfortable and spacious Commander 114 to both generations of Microsoft Flight Simulator with an extensive collection of systems and features.
The package includes two versions of the aircraft: the original 1977 Commander 114 and a second model equipped with an aftermarket turbo-normalizing system. Pilots can customize their aircraft with six distinctive interiors and ten paint schemes representing five decades of Commander 114 operations.
Advanced Engine and Systems Simulation
Black Square has equipped the Commander 114 with an advanced reciprocating-engine simulation designed to provide a realistic and demanding general aviation experience.
One of the package’s standout features is its detailed failure system, offering more than 75 possible failures. These can challenge pilots with everything from minor equipment problems to more serious emergencies requiring the proper use of checklists and good cockpit decision-making.
The Commander 114 also introduces what Black Square describes as the first working stormscope available for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Extensive Documentation and Checklists
The package includes a manual containing more than 150 pages of information covering the aircraft, its systems and the installed equipment.
Pilots will also have access to 35 in-game checklists for normal and emergency procedures. Control highlighting is included, helping users locate the appropriate switches, controls and equipment while learning the aircraft or responding to an in-flight problem.
With two aircraft variants, numerous avionics combinations and a deep collection of simulated systems and failures, the Black Square Commander 114 appears ready to offer far more than a simple point-A-to-point-B general aviation experience.
